In the heart of the Arboretum and the sunken lanes, near the hemp oven and the Roman aqueduct. Aqueduct: the remains of a 7 km long aqueduct known as "la chaise aux fées", dating from the end of the 1st century AD, bear witness to the presence of dwellings to the north of the walls of Le Vieux Mans. The restored hemp kiln, on the boundary of the Plessis and Closerie housing estates, is a reminder of one of the stages in the preparation of hemp: drying.
