Château des Essarts

The Château des Essarts offers more than 4 hours of entertainment for all the family: adventure day, fun and nature trails, trampoline, games of yesteryear, shows "Les Portes de Féerie", "Pagaille au Château" and "Rencontre avec Diria", guided tours and Open Scenes on Sunday evenings at 9pm.

The Château des Essarts site has a 2,000-year history. A Roman army sacrificial mound that became a castle mound between the 9th and 11th centuries. A fortified enclosure with a 12th-century Saracen tower. A 13th-14th century gatehouse, followed by a Renaissance dwelling from the 16th century.
In the 19th century, a new castle was built nearby, set in 25 hectares of landscaped grounds designed by the famous Bühler brothers.

This is the backdrop for La Compagnie "La Comédie des Rêves", which offers an exciting and varied programme throughout the year. In summer, there's an Adventure and Nature trail with the Bird Sanctuary, guided tours, shows, old-fashioned games, the "In the footsteps of Bevan" trail as part of the Club des intrépides and two trampofilets, nets stretched between the trees for family fun!
