Château de Montesson stands on the Hambers road just outside Bais. It was built between the 14th and 17th centuries. Surrounded by a moat, the château comprises a 16th-century gatehouse, the former medieval seigneurial dwelling and the main building constructed in the 17th century. The entrance pavilion is remarkable for its four-sided curved roof, its granite facade decorated with the coat of arms of the Montesson family, and its round tower with a bulbous slate roof.
