Château de Montertreau
The château was built in the 19th century. Of modest proportions, it has been well preserved and houses original interior decorations as well as others in the Art-Deco style (mosaics) created in the 1930s.
The main attraction is the English-style landscaped park created in 1873 by Edouard André. This park stretches along the side of a hill and features an irregular layout with large monumental trees and exotic species such as sequoia, cedar, ginko, juniper, taxus and bamboo. There are no flowerbeds, and the park has a steep gradient (100 m from the lowest to the highest point), making it difficult to access for people with reduced mobility or in poor physical condition. Access from Parigné-le-Polin: Follow the signs to "Centre Equestre de la Vallée".
