Château de l'Etenduère - Les Herbiers

The Château de l'Étenduère, located in Les Herbiers, is currently open to the public on a free-access heritage trail. It was one of the finest stately homes in the region between the 17th and 18th centuries.

Château de l'Etenduère: this was one of the finest manorial buildings in the region between the 17th and 18th centuries. Today, the ruins of this seigniorial building have been consolidated and preserved.

A free-access heritage trail has just been unveiled in spring 2025.
10 information panels surround the Étenduère site.
5 of them are located outside the château and are open to the public. These panels retrace the major stages in its history, from its origins to the present day, with the option of learning more by scanning the QR codes on the panels.
The other 5 can only be visited during the European Heritage Days on 20 and 21 September.
