CHAPELLE DE CHARETTE
Notre-Dame-de-Pitié also known as "Chapelle de Charette" (Chapel of Charette)
It was built in 1830 in memory of General Charette and the Vendée fighters, on the site of a chapel ruined during the Revolution, known as the "Chapelle de l'Ouche aux Moutons" or "Chapelle de l'Ouche au Moulin". A statue of Charette that stood in front of the chapel was pulled down in 1832. The chapel was completed in 1840. The bell tower, restored in 1887, is topped by a statue of the Archangel Saint-Michel. Features of the cannon in front of the chapel.Contact
