RUINES DU CHÂTEAU DU GOUST

The ruins of Château du Goust can be explored at any time of year on a walk through the marshes.

This castle, built between the 13th and 16th centuries, originally served an economic function. From 1418, the castle became the property of Guillaume de Montauban. Jean VI, the last of the family to leave his name in the history of the League, took an active part in the Wars of Religion, which led to the beginning of his ruin and that of the castle.
