Moulin de Courteille

This "wheat" mill was mentioned as early as 1534, and its layout is typical of mills on the Sarthe, built on medium-sized rivers.Its current mechanism is "English", with cast-iron gears and pulleys dating from the mid-19th century.
Its large 5.00 m diameter paddle wheel drives 2 pairs of millstones.
The machine is still in working order.
