LA GROTTE DE SAINT RÉVÉREND
A smaller-scale replica of the Lourdes grotto, built in 1954 by local craftsmen.
There is also a fragment of stone taken from the Massabielle rock at Lourdes. On 15 August 1954, Abbé Firmin Charrier inaugurated the grotto in recognition of the prisoners of war who had returned safely to Saint-Révérend.
Every year since then, on 15 August, the day dedicated to Mary, a pilgrimage has been organised to this spot.
The grotto is not accessible to people with mobility difficulties or wheelchairs.
