Presentation of: LE PRIEURE DE GRAMMONT

Owned by the Département de la Vendée, this former monastery of the Grandmontain order, founded around 1197, is one of the best preserved in France. Even today, the priory bears witness to the austerity and tranquillity sought by the Grandmontain order. Forming a square around the cloister, the chapel, chapter house, refectory and convent buildings are a blend of refinement and simplicity.

Relive the priory's golden age thanks to an astonishing immersive virtual reconstruction that lets you share in the daily life of the Grandmont monks. Enter the past world of the priory and see the vanished cloister resurface: a leap through the centuries.
