CHAPELLE SAINT GERMAIN

Small schist chapel in Gothic and Romanesque styles.

Made of local schist, this chapel has iron sandstone frames and Nozay stone paving. Its 12th-century choir is separated from the more recent nave by a Romanesque bay. It features superb frescoes by the Centre de la Fresque de Blain, depicting episodes from the life of St Germain d'Auxerre.

The chapel is accessible all year round by borrowing the keys from Vay town hall (in exchange for proof of identity).
