Église Saint-Pierre - Montguillon

This charming Romanesque church has been altered over the centuries. It is located in Montguillon, at the crossroads of the Anjou and Mayenne regions.

Saint-Pierre church, built in the 11th century in Romanesque style, is an ancient part of the local religious heritage. Over the centuries, the building has undergone a number of transformations, most notably in 1840 when the panelling in the nave was repaired and the bell tower rebuilt. A complete restoration was then carried out in 1873-1874, contributing to the church's current appearance.
The 15th-century baptismal font is one of the church's outstanding features, and is listed as a Monument Historique, as is the pulpit, testifying to the artistic and historical richness of the monument.
