Église Saint Christophe de la Blouère

This 19th-century church houses the cenotaphs of the Knights Templar between Nantes and Cholet.

This 1860 building was designed by the Bellopratain architect Albert Tessier, following the creation of the parish of La Blouère, clearly separated from Villedieu.
The first church in La Blouère, dating from the 12th century, was retained during construction.

Inside this church are 10 tombstones from the Middle Ages: "the Cenotaphs of the Knights of Malta. Legend has it that the Knights Templar were buried beneath them. In 1991, the cenotaphs were moved from the cemetery to the church.
