ÉGLISE SAINT-MARTIN

The 15th-century murals are well worth a visit. The cavalcade of vices represents the 7 deadly sins.

Around 1306, the church of Saint-Martin in La Pommeraie sur Sèvre belonged to the diocese of Maillezais, deanery of Bressuire. It was sold as national property in autumn 1799. Inside, audio commentaries will guide your visit and help you to better understand the significance of the superb murals restored in 2018.

Guided tours available all year round for groups, by prior arrangement.
