Église du vieux bourg de Saint-Sulpice des Landes

A rare reminder of a prosperous period in our region, the Vieux-Bourg church in Saint-Sulpice-des Landes is a listed historic monument for its rich medieval painted decoration.

Between Saint-Mars-la-Jaille and La Chapelle-Glain, the former parish church of Saint-Sulpice-des-Landes, dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, contains some remarkable murals listed as Historic Monuments. They illustrate the life of Christ. The church has been preserved thanks to the efforts of the Loire-Atlantique département, which has owned it since 1979.
