EGLISE SAINT MAIXENT

Catholic Church

The church of Saint Maixent has preserved the sections of wall in its nave dating from the 13th and 14th centuries. It was restored in 1859 after a fire during the French Revolution. At the time, it had an outside staircase reserved for women, a unique feature in the region's churches.

LA PIERRE DE CRIÉE - SAINT MAIXENT SUR VIE

Located right next to the church, the Pierre de criée was once used for municipal announcements. It has been listed and protected since 1926.
