Chapelle Saint-Louis

The modern, uncluttered style of this chapel is easily explained by the period in which it was built.
Abbé Paul Mercier, whose pastoral work lasted from 1950 to 1977, was the founder of the chapel, in association with Mr Jean Gréaume, one of the leading figures in the small family resort of Quimiac.
Built in 1956, this modern chapel, the work of the young architect Pierre Doucet, complies with the liturgical directives of the Second Vatican Council.
Inside, you can admire a 12th-century Christ and a Virgin and Child by Jean Fréour: Notre Dame de la Plage.
