ÉGLISE SAINT JACQUES DE POUZAUGES
In the town centre, stop off at the church of Saint Jacques!
Built in the 11th century but extensively modified in the 14th century, this church is unusual in that it combines Romanesque and Gothic architecture. It boasts sumptuous stained glass windows, one of which tells the story of the Vendée Wars. The church also houses a majestic organ and rich furnishings.Tip for your visit: on leaving the church, take a stroll through the narrow streets of Pouzauges.
