Église Saint-Benoît

Fortified church. Built in the 12th century.

The roof of the church features a sculpture of a rabbit smoking a pipe. Unique in France and even in Europe, the story of the Smoking Rabbit remains mysterious: many legends have taken up this "Bas-Poitevin myth". Nevertheless, some of these legends seem to be the most likely.
Listed as a Historic Monument in 1956.
