Chapelle Saint-Mathurin
This chapel, one of the oldest in Rouessé-Vassé, was built on the initiative of Mathurin Mauny, who was buried in the chapel on 19 August 1641.
This chapel, one of the oldest in Rouessé-Vassé, was built on the initiative of Mathurin Mauny, who was buried in the chapel on 19 August 1641.Saint Mathurin was once the great healer of the region, prayed to especially in desperate cases so that the sick would "come or go". He was also reputed to protect against violent storms.
Owned by the commune, the building was completely renovated at the end of the 20th century.
A mass is celebrated here every year during Rogations.
