Remembrance stele

A stele in memory of the seven airmen killed in the crash of their Stirling bomber that left Liverpool in England on the night of 17 October 1942. This monument was erected and inaugurated on 11 November 2004, with the help of the Souvenir Français. The aim of their mission was to bomb factories near Bordeaux.

An explanatory panel next to the stele, at a place called Les Landes, tells the story of this event.
