CHÂTEAU DE LA HAUTE GUERCHE

A former fortified castle dating from the 13th and 15th centuries, burnt down during the Vendée wars. A picturesque, imposing ruin in the heart of the Layon hillsides, where it overlooked and kept watch over the course of the river.

Treat yourself to rest, concentration and art in the Anjou region! Spend an artistic weekend in the remarkable historic site of the Chateau de la Haute Guerche, where you'll find the peace and quiet of the countryside in the heart of the Layon hills. You will be welcomed in a guest room (capacity 9 people, 3 double bedrooms and 3 single bed suites, a fully-equipped kitchen is available) and will practise drawing, modelling, painting or stained glass in a professionally-equipped workshop. Weekend courses of 1, 2 or 3 days are available for beginners, experienced artists or professionals.
