FONTAINE NOTRE-DAME-DE-BONNES-NOUVELLES

This fountain is linked to the cult of Notre Dame de Bonnes Nouvelles.

It is said that it was near this spring that a knight injured his hunting companion in the 17th century.
He implored Notre-Dame-de-Bonnes-Nouvelles to save his friend and vowed to build a chapel there.
It was built in 1620 and burnt down in 1793 when the Vendéens retreated.
