CIRCUIT HERMELAND
From the Pontpierre quarry in the south to the Chézine valley in the north, this eight-lane route forms a green lung linking some of Saint-Herblain's neighbourhoods.
This route begins with the "northern" loop, which will take you from the Atlantis shopping centre to the unspoilt natural spaces of the Parc de la Chézine, via the Manoir and the Parc de la Bégraisière, a popular destination for walkers and culture lovers. The 8-hectare park is one of the oldest noble estates in the commune. The manor house, which was built in the 15th century and has undergone a number of restorations, is now home to a modern media library and artists' residence. The "southern" loop then runs through former farmland, taking you to the Carrière site, on the edge of the town of Saint-Herblain. Rehabilitated over the last few decades, this former quarry has become a leisure and walking area, with a garden of Mediterranean plants. On the edge of the lake, it is also home to "La Carrière", a venue for shows and venue hire.
