Sentier d'Amanéa - Lac de la Vouraie

The concept behind the Vouraie Lake Emotional Trail is unique in France, creating a new form of nature interpretation. A 2.5km trail around a soothing body of water in the forest. 22 artistic stages to experience, with sound experiments in stone and wood.

Just imagine! As you make your way along the path, mobiles made of slate ring out from the top of a tree, then 15 wooden poles whistle in the wind in a harmony of astonishing sounds.
Outcrops of stone? Engraved with discreet signs, reminiscent of symbols or signs from the Maori or Rongo-Rongo cultures, the engraved stones are designed to nourish the visitor's imagination, reinforcing the mysterious character of the space. You enter an astonishing natural world where a child grew up here with a large bird from the South Seas as a friend... but this friend disappeared. So the now grown-up child built huge primal musical instruments to bring him back...
Here you are on the Vouraie Emotions Trail, leaving from La Martinière in Bournezeau - St Hilaire le Vouhis.
