At Bellevue, on the route de Martinet, the path, between ponds and hedgerows, was created thanks to two local associations:
"Connaître, protéger la nature": this association works to protect nature through discovery, protection and awareness-raising activities.
"Cap Nature": a running association

The first steps were taken in 2004 with planting, the construction of an observatory and a stone staircase to facilitate access.

Over the seasons, various development and planting work has been carried out and the path has been partly dug out with pickaxes by volunteers.

In 2015, the Cap Nature association also wanted to get involved in the project, with the aim of creating a small sunken path through the gorse and brambles. The two associations joined forces to create the path, including planting, building a footbridge, installing a hedge of dead wood, ploughing a hedge and creating ponds.

The nature club carried out a number of inventories on the site, including birds, dragonflies, flowering plants, trees and shrubs. To highlight this educational trail, the nature club has published a booklet describing all the shrubs and trees in the bocage.
The booklet lists the 58 species of trees and shrubs found along the 1,150-metre trail. It is available from the Pays des Achards Tourist Office or Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche town hall.

Walkers can also discover the inhabitants of the pond, the birds of the quarry, the salamander and, of course, the spring flowers.

The little extra: two large tables, designed by Denis Crochet, complete this magical place.
