Point de vue du Coteau Sautejeau

Exceptional views from this steep hillside, characteristic of the relief of the Sèvre valley, with its wooded slopes and landscape openings offering striking views of the course of the river and its natural environment.

The name Sautejeau might suggest a break in the slope or a marked difference in level, linked to the steep topography of the hillside overlooking the Sèvre. Like many of the valley's slopes, this hillside has long been unsuitable for intensive farming, favouring wooded areas or pastures.
From this vantage point, the view plunges down to the Sèvre Nantaise, which can be seen winding along the valley floor, bordered by woods and wet meadows. The panorama highlights :
- The meandering river,
- the diversity of the natural environment,
- the opposing hillsides, sometimes cultivated or wooded,
- and the discreet traces of human activity, integrated into the landscape.
Accessible via the Avenue des Mimosas, follow the yellow signposts on the Les Rochers trail.
