Plage du Nau
Located between the Jetée du Port and the Hôtel de Ville, Plage du Nau is an ideal family beach. The quality of the bathing water is classified as excellent and stable throughout the year.
Plage du Nau is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and a tiralo is available at the lifeguard station during opening hours (12pm - 7pm / Tel. MNS Plage 02 40 42 35 30).
Dip your feet in the water or go for a swim, then take advantage of the diving boards to sunbathe or practise some spectacular jumps. Showers and toilets are available next to the first-aid post. During the summer, swimming is supervised by the lifeguard post.
Le Nau beach is also a great place for fun and socialising, with beach clubs, a volleyball court, bars and restaurants.... Beach huts and beach tents can be hired during the season. During low tide, Plage du Nau is a popular spot for shore fishing, particularly for cockles. Find out about the restrictions before you go fishing, and observe the minimum sizes and maximum quantities authorised for the various shellfish.
Le Nau beach has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2021, guaranteeing exemplary environmental quality by minimising the impact of tourist numbers.
From the beach, you can follow the 9.5km "La Côte sauvage" walking trail, which you can find in the "Les Belles Echappées" guidebook, available from the Tourist Office.
