LES 5 PINEAUX

Leaving Sion, head south-west to discover the "5 Pineaux" (from the Celtic word for head). These 5 rocks in the middle of the sea, which have been eroded, will surprise you.

Legends abound about the 5 Pineaux. These 5 distinctive pieces of rock are a key feature of the Sion landscape. According to some, they could be the remains of a bridge leading to the Ile d'Yeu or, according to others, 5 petrified monks, imprisoned to watch over the "Devil's Hole" to be discovered not far away.
