LA VALLÉE DE LA JOUANNE

The river La Jouanne crosses the Coëvrons from north to east.

The river La Jouanne rises in Bais in the north of the Mayenne and is fed by several streams, notably the meadows to the south of the village of Brée. These meadows are recognised as an Area of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest, where plants known as "fritillaries" or "wild tulips" flower in spring. Passing through Montsûrs, the Jouanne receives the Deux-Evailles stream, its main tributary, and then meanders through the valleys of Saint-Cénéré.
