JETÉE DE LA GARENNE
Since 1839, the Garenne jetty has been used to prevent the entrance to the port of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie from being blocked by sandbanks.
The first section of the pier, measuring 160 metres, was built in 1839. The breakwater was extended by 400 metres in 1881, and by a further 250 metres at the end of 1988.Contact
