The Bizeuls peat bog is home to a regionally protected species: the Marsh Potentilla. The site also contains many other plant species of varying degrees of rarity. More than 60 have been recorded. The site is also home to a number of animal species: newts, viviparous lizards, various dragonflies, etc.
