ÉTANG DE LA MARTELIÈRE

Peaceful fishing and picnic lake north of Nantes.

A calm, shady pond, ideal for a spot of fishing. Tables are available for picnics with the family. Comprising two ponds separated by a bridge, the total surface area of the lake is around one and a half hectares. Swimming is prohibited. As the pond is private, fishing permits are on sale at the Vival supermarket and at the "Le P'tit Bistro" tobacconist's shop in Les Touches (see access map), either by the day or by the year for the most assiduous anglers, who do not need a national permit. The sale of the cards allows the maintenance and the alvinage of the pond.
