Located at the gateway to the Coëvrons-Mayenne region of art and history, the Musée de Préhistoire invites you to discover the Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods through archaeological collections found in the Mayenne department. For thousands of years, human presence and activity depended on fluctuations in the climate and changes in the flora and fauna. This close link between man and nature is explained throughout the exhibition.A range of interactive features give you the chance to immerse yourself in prehistory: digital content, a virtual tour of the Mayenne-Sciences cave, the video game "Le Piège préhistorique" (The Prehistoric Trap)...
