EGLISE SAINT SAUVEUR
Church of Saint Sauveur alias of the transfiguration
The three vaults are all the same height, in a neo-Poitevin style. The current concrete and white stone bell tower is in a mongrel style, modern in its broad outlines and reminiscent of the old stone bell tower, destroyed in 1944. Today's church contains the painted wooden altar from the destroyed former chapel of St Mathurin, and the old baptismal font from the destroyed medieval church. Numerous sculptures by contemporary artist Jean Fréour adorn the interior of the church and the porch.Contact
