The CIAP, which has Tourism and Disability accreditation, is located in the Château de Sainte-Suzanne. The CIAP is a real showcase for the department, with interactive and educational features that are accessible to all, enabling visitors to discover the heritage of the Mayenne region.
Housed in the 17th-century dwelling of the Château de Sainte-Suzanne, the CIAP (Centre d'Interprétation de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine - Architecture and Heritage Interpretation Centre) is a place where you can find out about, meet and learn about the heritage of the Pays d'art et d'histoire Coëvrons-Mayenne and, beyond that, of the whole of the Mayenne department in all its diverse forms: archaeology, monuments, fauna, flora, landscapes, know-how, etc. Permanent and temporary exhibitions. Audiovisuals, models, desks, tactile devices, wall projections, panels, guided tours and educational workshops allow visitors to discover the many facets of the local heritage.Free hire of audio guides.
