EGLISE ST MARTIN DE VERTOU

Originally a simple chapel built in the 9th or 10th century, it was rebuilt in 1080. It is remarkable for its rocaille-style altarpiece and its two altars.

The church of Saint-Martin-De-Vertou was founded in 1080 and enlarged in 1137, and has been restored several times. In the choir you can see the Benedictine stalls of the monks who served the church.

Open on request from the town hall, and during the European Heritage Days on Sundays only.
