Église Saint-Pierre

Rebuilt in the 19th century, all that remains of the old church is its 15th-century choir.

Formerly part of the abbey of Saint-Michel-en-l'Herm, Saint-Pierre de Lairoux suffered damage during the Hundred Years' War in 1427 and the Wars of Religion in 1568. The church is made up of two parts, the choir dating from the 14th century and the nave rebuilt in the 19th century. The church still has a clock, the mechanism of which can be seen. This particular mechanism dates from 1925 and was rebuilt in 1940. Also of note is the wooden altar window.
