From the top of the bell tower, you can enjoy a panoramic view over the Lac de Grand Lieu and its marshes.
Whatever route you take to get there, the bell tower of Saint Lumine de Coutais is a sight to behold. Its viewpoint above the bells makes it an ideal vantage point for observing Lac de Grand Lieu and the surrounding area. Once you've climbed the 158 steps, you'll be 40 metres above the ground. From the observatory, the lake and its varied environments are at your feet. In summer, you can discover the distribution of the vegetation around the lake: at the edge are the grazed meadows (also known as the "common" of St Lumine), then the mown meadows, the wooded reed beds, the floating grass beds and finally the open waters of the lake.Contact
