Église de Saint-Sauveur-de-Landemont

The 18th-century church of Saint-Sauveur-de-Landemont is dedicated to Saint Sauveur.

This modest church dates from 1744 (in its current form). It was enlarged after the damage caused by the Vendée wars.
Nevertheless, the entrance porch is a reminder of its Romanesque foundation in the 11th century by the monks of Marmoutier. Inside, the church features an elegant bas-relief dedicated to Saint Christopher and a 17th-century marble baptismal font. A painting of the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian can be seen at the back of the nave.
