ABBAYE DE BLANCHE COURONNE

Probably founded in the second quarter of the 12th century, Blanche-Couronne Abbey in La Chapelle-Launay is a rare example of a pre-19th century monastic complex in the Loire-Atlantique region.

Since 1994, the Abbey has been listed as a Historic Monument. Today, visits to the Abbey are based exclusively on its exterior.
Safeguarding plan underway. The site is temporarily closed for security reasons.
