CHAPELLE NOTRE-DAME-DES-FONTAINES

The little Notre-Dame-des-Fontaines chapel is a pure model of simplicity.

Built in the 17th century in honour of the Virgin Mary, the building was the final stop on processions along the path beside the lake. One such procession, in 1912, even welcomed the Bishop of Nantes. The chapel's owner, Madame du Boisgueuheneuc, who also owned the Grand'Cour manor house in Grandchamp-des-Fontaines, donated it to the parish in the 20th century.
It has no bell tower and a gable roof.
