STÈLE DU MARAIS GIRARD
The Marais Girard stele is a reminder that the Corniche road was built in 1954 on Jacques Hillerin's land.
It was built on the ruins of the old guardhouse. Built in 1756, it housed the customs officers responsible for monitoring all boardings and landings. These customs officers collected salt, formerly known as Gabelle. The ruins of this house were restored in 1968.Contact
