Presentation of: MAISONS NATALES DE GEORGES CLEMENCEAU ET DU MARECHAL DE LATTRE

The house where Jean de Lattre was born is a late 19th-century bourgeois house that has preserved its original decor and furniture. Visiting the house is like immersing yourself in the lifestyle of a prominent Vendéen of the period.
After a year and a half of intensive work, the house where Georges Clemenceau was born opened in 2018. Built in the 18th century, the house features simple, domestic architecture with a more cheerful facade overlooking the garden. Despite having been converted into a bakery for several decades, it has retained most of its interior volumes, as well as a number of decorative features, including fireplaces, trumeaux, wood panelling, 18th-century door and window frames, wide strip parquet flooring and terracotta floor tiles.
