The Erve valley is unique north of the Loire: a protected area with the Natura 2000 label and an environmental classification, it is home to exceptional flora and fauna. It's the perfect place for nature lovers to escape from time for a day.The area is also a popular venue for sporting events, with rock-climbing and caving courses offered by sports associations throughout the year. Many hiking trails criss-cross the valley and link the neighbouring Petites Cités de Caractère. Numerous activities are organised to help you spend a pleasant time with your family or friends.
The caves are open from 16 March to 14 November.
The Margot cave is open to children aged 3 and over, while the Rochefort cave is open to children aged 6 and over.
Visits to the caves cover a range of themes: geology, daily life in prehistoric times in the Rochefort cave and cave art in the Margot cave.
Booking is compulsory on the online ticketing site.
