Lac du Jaunay

The Lac du Jaunay: an area where the flora and fauna are revealed to those curious about nature.

Lac du Jaunay is a 114-hectare protected natural area. There are a number of hiking trails.
The Lac du Jaunay is a popular stop-off point for certain species of bird. It is also home to a number of animals with "photogenic" reputations: green tree frogs, grey herons, kingfishers, mallards, otters, genets and tawny owls.
Educational panels explain the lake life of many diurnal and nocturnal species.

The lake is also a drinking water reserve: swimming and motorboats are prohibited.
