Marais de la Musse, du Couleuvreu, du Fresne, du Lot, de la Roche: these are almost 2,600 hectares of wetlands, made up of mudflats, reedbeds, Loire meadows and wet meadows and used extensively for farming (mainly cattle rearing). They are home to numerous plant and animal species of great environmental interest.
