Le Bassin Dombret
Located on the Côte Sauvage at La Chaume, a natural seawater pool nestling among the coves of the rocky coastline. Access via the Corniche du Nouch.
From 1 April to 30 September, access is strictly forbidden to our friends the dogs and other animals, even if kept on a lead, except for dogs accompanying blind people.
Pool cleaning information :
The Dombret pool is closed once a fortnight for cleaning.
How does it work?
Once emptied, the pool fills up again at the next tide; the town takes advantage of high tidal coefficients to carry out this cleaning because the pool fills up from the top, thanks to the waves.
The Dombret basin is a closed basin that fills up thanks to the ocean, and the water has to be changed regularly for obvious reasons of cleanliness. The water is emptied by opening the door, and the remaining silt and algae are cleaned by the town's teams.
