There are several wooded areas scattered around the Pays des Achards, the main one at Sainte Flaive des Loups. These areas are ideal for hiking.

Discover this 85-hectare forest on foot, by bike or on horseback along various footpaths approved by the Fédération Française de Randonnée Pédestre. Several ponds have been created to highlight the biodiversity of this site:
The "A l'eau côôa!" pond trail is an opportunity for young naturalists to discover all the little inhabitants of these ponds. Two "discovery" trails (4 or 6 km) are available. A guide booklet is available from the Tourist Office.

The tree and shrub species most frequently encountered are :
-Hornbeam
-Chestnut trees
-Scots, cork, pedunculate and sessile oaks
-Ash trees
-Horse chestnut
-Plane trees
-Umbrella pines
-Walnut trees
-Lime trees
-Black alder
-Elms
-White Willow

They are mainly used for afforestation, for alignments, or to line riverbanks and rural areas.
