Square Sainte-Anne

Small square dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint Anne.

This small square near the lake and promenade sainte Anne is home to the Virgin Mary in a small artificial grotto covered with votive offerings.
These thanks were affixed by sailors rescued from a shipwreck, reminding us that La Bernerie was above all a village that prospered thanks to the activities of the sea.

In the middle of the square is a representation of Saint Anne, patron saint of sailors, raising her protective arm.

There are also a few benches where you can rest sheltered from the wind.

Today, the square is a popular place to play pétanque.
